Straight Answers for Central Florida Homeowners

General / Getting Started

Are you insured and accredited?
Yes. H2Oasis Pools & Patios is fully insured and BBB A+ Accredited, so you can book with confidence. We’re also locally owned and operated right here in Clermont, FL — you’re dealing with a neighbor who stands behind every job, not a call center or franchise.
How long has H2Oasis been in business?
H2Oasis has been serving Central Florida homeowners since 2023. We’re a small, owner-operated company focused on doing the job right the first time — with a 5.0-star Google rating to back it up.
Do I need to be home during a service visit?
No. As long as we have safe access to your pool or patio, you don’t need to be present. After every visit we send a digital service report so you know exactly what was done — chemicals added, equipment status, and any issues spotted.

Weekly Pool Service

How often should I have my pool serviced in Central Florida?
Weekly service is the standard for Florida pools — and for good reason. The combination of intense summer heat, daily afternoon thunderstorms, heavy pollen, and a year-round swim season creates near-perfect conditions for algae and chemical imbalance. Even two weeks without proper care can be enough for a pool to turn green. Learn more about our weekly pool service.
What’s included in your weekly pool service?
Each visit covers water chemistry testing and balancing, surface skimming, brushing walls and steps, vacuuming the floor, emptying pump and skimmer baskets, and a visual equipment check. You’ll also receive a digital service report after every visit. See the full details on our weekly pool service page.
How long does a typical pool service visit take?
Most standard residential pools take 30–60 minutes per visit, depending on pool size, debris load, and any additional treatments needed. Pools surrounded by heavy landscaping or those with equipment requiring closer attention may run a bit longer.
Do you provide a service report after each visit?
Yes. Every scheduled visit comes with a digital report logging the chemical readings, work performed, and any equipment concerns we observed. It’s our way of keeping you fully informed even when you’re not home.

Green Pool / Water Restoration

Can you fix a green pool?
Absolutely — green pools are one of the most common calls we get in Central Florida. Our water restoration process starts with testing cyanuric acid (CYA) and adjusting pH, then shocking to the correct breakpoint chlorine level based on your pool’s chemistry, brushing the surfaces to loosen algae, and running filtration until the water is clear and balanced. Learn more about green pool water restoration.
How long does green pool water restoration take?
Most recoveries take 3–7 days from initial treatment to clear, swimmable water. The timeline depends on the severity of the algae bloom and whether CYA levels are elevated — high CYA neutralizes chlorine and requires additional steps before standard shock will work effectively. We revisit as needed until the water is safe.
What causes a pool to turn green?
Low or zero chlorine is almost always the culprit. In Central Florida’s heat, algae can double every 3–8 hours once free chlorine drops below 1 ppm. Florida’s afternoon rain dilutes chemicals, sunlight burns off unstabilized chlorine, and a high cyanuric acid (CYA) level can make chlorine ineffective even when the test strip reads normal. That’s why we always test CYA as part of every restoration visit.

Equipment & Repair

What pool equipment repairs do you handle?
We diagnose and address common equipment issues — pump and motor problems, filter cleaning, abnormal pressure readings, and general mechanical faults caught during routine service visits. If a component needs replacement, we’ll explain your options clearly and provide a free estimate before any work begins.
How do I know if my pool pump is failing?
Watch for these warning signs: unusual grinding, screeching, or humming from the motor; a sudden drop in water flow; the pump losing prime or failing to start; or water that stays cloudy despite correct chemistry. Florida pools run year-round, so pumps often show wear sooner than in northern climates — catching issues early almost always saves money.
How often should pool filters be cleaned or serviced?
Cartridge filters should be rinsed every 4–6 weeks and replaced roughly every 1–3 years depending on bather load and water chemistry. DE (diatomaceous earth) filters should be backwashed when the pressure gauge reads 8–10 PSI above its clean starting pressure. We perform a visual equipment check on every service visit and flag anything that needs attention before it escalates.

Pressure Washing & Screen Enclosures

What surfaces can you pressure wash?
We pressure wash driveways, pool decks, sidewalks, patios, walkways, and screen enclosure frames. For delicate surfaces — like pool cage mesh or painted stucco — we use a soft-wash approach that combines low pressure with appropriate cleaning solutions to remove mold, algae, and grime without causing damage. See our full pressure washing page.
How often should I pressure wash my driveway or pool deck in Central Florida?
Most Central Florida driveways and pool decks benefit from a professional cleaning every 6–12 months. Florida’s humidity, pollen, and near-constant moisture create ideal conditions for algae, mildew, and oxidation buildup — especially on surfaces shaded by trees or near ponds. Cleaning twice a year keeps most surfaces looking their best and prevents buildup from etching into the material.
Can you clean my pool screen enclosure or lanai cage?
Yes. We use a soft-wash method — typically 1,000–1,500 PSI with wide-angle nozzles and appropriate cleaning solutions — to safely remove algae, mold, and oxidation from both the aluminum frame and the mesh screen without tearing or bending the material. Most Central Florida screen enclosures benefit from a professional cleaning once or twice a year.

Pricing / Billing / Estimates

How much does pool service cost?
Every pool is different — size, condition, equipment type, and service frequency all factor into the price. We don’t post flat rates because we’d rather give you an accurate number based on your actual pool than a ballpark that might not reflect your situation. Contact us for a free, no-obligation estimate and we’ll walk you through exactly what’s included.
Do you offer one-time cleaning services, or only recurring plans?
We offer both. One-time cleans are available for move-ins, move-outs, event prep, or pools that just need a reset. That said, many customers find that following a one-time clean with a regular weekly plan is the most cost-effective way to keep the pool consistently clean and ready to swim.
How do I get a free estimate?
It’s simple — call or text us at (407) 946-1854, email info@h2oas.is, fill out our contact form, or book a free on-site estimate online. We typically follow up within one business day to discuss your needs and provide a free, no-obligation quote with no pressure.

Service Area & Scheduling

What cities and areas do you serve?
We serve 12 Central Florida cities: Clermont, Minneola, Winter Garden, Oakland, Winter Park, Winter Springs, Altamonte Springs, Longwood, Lake Mary, Oviedo, Clarcona, and Paradise Heights. One note on our pool-care routes: weekly pool service and green-to-clean water restoration currently serve Minneola and North Clermont only — that’s our home turf, and keeping the route tight is how we make sure your visit day never slips. Every other service — pool equipment maintenance, pressure washing, screen cleaning, and commercial work — covers the full Central Florida area. Not sure if you’re within our range? Give us a call at (407) 946-1854 and we’ll confirm right away.
Can you schedule service visits around my routine?
We assign recurring weekly visits on a consistent day so your pool care is predictable and reliable. While we can’t always guarantee a specific hour window, we’ll work with you to pick a day that fits your routine. Most customers find a consistent weekly service day works seamlessly.
What if I have a pool or patio emergency?
Call or text us directly at (407) 946-1854. We prioritize urgent situations — a pump failure before a weekend gathering, a pool that turned green overnight, a screen enclosure damaged by a storm. While same-day response depends on our current schedule, we do our best to get to critical issues as quickly as possible.
